Depuis plusieurs années, Benoît Kunsch a délaissé la photographie purement représentationnelle au profit d’une photographie artistique, transformationnelle, transmettant des sentiments, des messages, des points de vue différents, des émotions, des souvenirs émotionnels. Pour lui, l’appareil photo est comme un pinceau, servant à produire des impressions et des tableaux photographiques. « Painting Photos » est sa première exposition individuelle à la CAW et essaye de présenter une approche artistique de la photographie, qui se situe entre réalité et peinture.

Seit mehreren Jahren hat Benoît Kunsch die rein abbildende Fotografie zugunsten einer künstlerischen, transformativen Fotografie aufgegeben, die Gefühle, Botschaften, unterschiedliche Sichtweisen, Emotionen und emotionale Erinnerungen vermittelt. Für ihn ist die Kamera wie ein Pinsel, der dazu dient, fotografische Eindrücke und Gemälde zu erzeugen. « Painting Photos » ist seine erste Einzelausstellung im CAW und versucht, einen künstlerischen Zugang zur Fotografie zu präsentieren, der zwischen Realität und Malerei angesiedelt ist.

For several years now, Benoît Kunsch has been moving away from purely representational photography towards artistic, transformational photography, conveying feelings, messages, different points of view, emotions and emotional memories. For him, the camera is like a paintbrush, used to produce photographic prints and paintings. « Painting Photos » is his first solo exhibition at the CAW and attempts to present an artistic approach to photography that lies somewhere between reality and painting.
